DESCRIPTION:The 1987 Movie Adaptation of Northanger Abbey\, presented by the Jane Austen Movie Fan Club\, at the home of Joy Prevost\, 1:30 pm.  The program opens with remarks by Nancy Kleinert on “Gothic Novels Rise to Popularity in the Regency Period”.  Joy Prevost heads the Movie Fan Club so you may expect another great viewing experience with her introduction and questions for the discussion afterwards.  There is another movie adaptation done in 2007\, but the earlier one was chosen because it isn’t as easy to access\, and it is thought that fewer of us have seen it previously. We have had to change this program’s venue from the Elk Grove Library to Joy Prevost’s home. Because of this you must be a member of JASNA to attend this event.
