 Dr Amy Smith, Professor of English, University of the Pacific, will speak on Jane Austen in the Curriculum of Schools and Universities with special references to Northanger Abbey.  Next, Kathleen Anderson, author of the book, Jane Austen’s Women, will discuss the heroine, Catherine Morland.
